Innovating with AI to transform network operations

AI is set to transform telecom network operations, bringing new levels of automation and performance agility. WTL is driving AI adoption through its solutions.

Driving automation and agile orchestration

AI-enabled performance optimisation

WTL is investing in AI evolution to support new levels of performance and autonomous operations – aligned with governance and sovereignty goals.

Autonomous operations

Industry bodies such the TMF are pursuing progress towards autonomous and AI-enabled network operations, which includes a widely adopted maturity index.

Agentic interaction

Agentic AI enables secure interaction between systems, processes and workflows – supporting dynamic service orchestration and management.

Internal knowledge bases

AI boosts user insight and system management by enabling the creation of private, secure internal knowledge bases that boost efficiency and deliver insights.

Enhanced assurance

With AI integration, operational assurance can be enhanced through closed-loop systems and accelerated, proactive service management and RCA.

Real-time operation

Low latency services such as those enabled through URLLC slicing cannot rely on manual interventions. AI delivers dynamic, real-time operations.

Security and governance

AI investments need to be fully aligned with your governance and security procedures, as well as national regulation. WTL supports best-practice at all levels.

FAQs

Interested? Do you have questions? Check out some of the questions we’re most frequently asked to discover more. If you still can’t find what you are looking for, get in touch – and we’ll be glad to answer your query.
Does WTL have a comprehensive roadmap for AI adoption?
Yes, we are addressing the inclusion of AI capabilities where they make sense across our solution set – and closely following the development for standards for the safe, secure use of AI in telecoms and critical national infrastructure.
How might AI help enhance operations for our network?
AI has been around for a while and has already delivered results for some operators that have built AI into internal processes for closed-loop operations, particularly in the service assurance domain. However, many rules-based systems are sufficient for meeting the same purpose, so AI isn’t always necessary. We see Agentic AI as a very promising tool to enable integration across systems and workflows, and this is the main area of focus for now.
We plan to reach TMF Autonomous Network Level 4 in the next 5 years. Are you aligned with this goal?
Absolutely, we are also following this initiative and will work with all of our partners to help them meet their goals, according to their internal timeframes.
We have concerns about data sovereignty and AI.
WTL understands that every operator is pursing AI at different rates and with different governance procedures that vary from country to country. We will align fully with your objectives and governance procedures.
Are you planning to enable AI-integration with other vendor solutions in our network?
This is key to autonomous operations and workflows and is a key subject for our evolution and roadmap. Our solutions do not exist in isolation, and we expect agentic interaction via MCP to gradually replace classical APIs – but not in the immediate future.
Can we share our internal AI vision with your team so we can align?
Yes, please do. We can have joint workshops to ensure that we are working towards the same goals – and to share our experiences.
