Satya Mekala

Managing Director & Founder

Mr Mekala is an established businessman and serial entrepreneur from Belgium. He is the Managing Director of WTL. He has over 25 years’ experience in IT and the communications industry mostly at senior Management or Director level. After rejoining WTL, in recent years He has developed a new strategic direction for WTL in Africa and elsewhere.

As an entrepreneur, he has founded several successful companies in a number of fields including: Ifoon (telecom), Het Brouwhuis (brewing), Intellinet (IT), VinciChem, (chemicals) and Grenova Labs (chemical testing)He was also the founding Managing Director of WTL and during his tenure grew the company from startup to a valuation of 120 Million USD.

Benoit Bolsee

CTO & Founder

CTO & Founder of WTL and the creator of the original SS7 over IP architecture at the heart of the WTL product. One of Europe’s leading telecom experts, Mr Bolsee holds a number of patents in the field, has been a speaker at industry events and has been a consultant for many Tier 1 & 2 service providers. He spearheaded the new 2G/3G/4G solution development within WTL.

Before founding WTL more than 20 years ago, he was Dialogic’s Senior development and support Engineer in Europe. He was educated at the UNIVERSITE LIBRE DE BRUXELLES where he gained Diplôme d’ingénieur civil in Electronic and Telecommunication. Grade: la plus grande distinction.

Simon Pearson

Business Development Director

Simon Pearson is Business Development Director at World Telecom Labs, Brussels. Mr. Pearson has over 35 years experience in the communications industry mostly at senior Management or Director level.

He has approximately 20 years experience in the VoIP market with first hand experience of many VoIP carrier deployments. He has been a regular speaker at industry events. Before his time with World Telecom Labs, Mr. Pearson was with Hewlett Packard running their worldwide launch programs for network backup products, this amounted to more than $100m of new products per year and included establishing the brand in Japan and introducing two new tape technologies. Mr. Pearson has a BA degree from Exeter University, England.

Plamen Hristov

Financial Director

With 11 years at WTL as Finance and Administration Manager, Plamen has proven himself a invaluable asset for the company. As an all-rounder he managed the personnel, administration & finance departments efficiently.

His critical eye, frank and sharp feedback helped the company to make many improvements and optimized the cost structure within the company. He is a self-starter and always ready to meet new challenges. He graduated at Leuven university in Belgium with accountancy major.

Management Team Africa

Jude Chukwuma had played a critical role in the migration and transformation of Nigerian Telephony system to digital Switching systems as NITEL/ SIEMENS Project Team Leader, providing Pre and Post Project Back Office High level-Support to NITEL Engineers in over 50 locations in Nigeria. He was also involved in projects in Africa, Europe and South America.

He is competent at SS7, ATM, TCP/IP,SNMP, VoIP, SIP, MGCP, H.323, Solaris, Windows, Active Directory, AAA, Siemens HiQ9200, Siemens EWSD and Ericson AXE Switch Stations. He is also experienced in Cataleya, Telco Bridge, Dialogic Technologies.

He held Technical and Managerial positions at Siemens, Econet Wireless, Interconnect Clearinghouse, and, recently he was the CEO and founder of Universal Information and Communication Technologies Limited.

Abdul-Azeez Momoh

CTOO Afric

Abdul-Azeez is a certified Ericsson Senior Core MSS Integration Engineer (BUGS Certification) with extensive training in Ericsson Mobile Core Network solutions, including core network configurations, integrations, migrations, and maintenance. Additionally, he excels in Ericsson Local and Global support, skilfully managing CSR (Customer Service Requests), and showcasing strong capabilities in project management.

As the Chief Technical Operations Officer at WTL, Abdul-Azeez collaborates closely with his team to guarantee the smooth deployment of Mobile Core Network solutions customized for WTL’s clientele. His pivotal role entails serving as a liaison between WTL’s onsite customers and the R&D team, ensuring the seamless integration of market feedback to drive the development of innovative solutions precisely aligned with clients’ organizational requirements.

Emeka Isiguzo

Sales Director Africa

Emeka Isiguzo is a seasoned Sales Professional with a specialization in driving business growth within the African technology market. Currently serving as the Business Development Director for Africa at Wireless Technology Labs, Emeka boasts over a decade of hands-on experience in the technology industry. With a solid foundation in system integration and senior management, he possesses a deep understanding of the sector’s nuances.

He brings invaluable insights from his involvement in numerous enterprise Applications and infrastructure deployments and is a sought-after speaker at industry events. Prior to joining Wireless Technology Labs, Emeka led the Business Development and Product Management Teams at Snapnet Technologies, and worked with Weco Systems Int’l as an Enterprise Application lead where he honed skills in enterprise platform design and technology sales.

Emeka’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering Technology, complemented by a master’s degree in project management, alongside various certifications in technology. His ability to comprehend customer requirements and manage the sales team to tailor products accordingly has been instrumental in driving the exponential growth of Wireless Technology Labs’ business in recent years.
