A2P SMS traffic is booming but traffic growth increases the risk of spam, which can cause significant reputational damage. Our new feature helps providers eliminate spam and protect their customers, increasing the differentiation they can offer.
As part of our continuous evolution programme, we’re excited to announce a new feature we have added to our SMS Hub solution. With SMS enjoying significant adoption as a communications and customer engagement tool for businesses globally, it’s important both to protect customers and to protect the reputation of businesses that take advantage of A2P messaging capabilities.
That’s why we’ve now added cleansing capabilities. All traffic that is routed by our platforms may now be validated in real-time. We check the CLI against a global database of spam and malicious numbers, so that we can eliminate any suspicious traffic before it is sent. The database we use is updated in near real-time, based on records and reports collected from around the world.
Because the solution is based on a shared model, it benefits from significant scale – with the result that all messages are screened against an ever-growing list of known offenders or suspicious senders. This process helps ensure that users of the SMS Hub do not inadvertently include spam traffic, which means they can protect their hard-won reputations, while also protecting users from unsolicited or unwanted messages.
So, this enhancement helps ensure that our SMS Hub provides even greater value, allowing our provider partners to differentiate the offer they make to their business partners. It’s a key selling point, particularly as A2P SMS traffic volumes are growing so rapidly. By partnering with WTL, you can increase differentiation and provide advanced filtering as an integral element of your offer.
